Model in robbery business

New York Post reports: Joshua Walters - pretty man-model who worked for Hugo Boss is a memeber of a robbery-band of 4 which robbed 15 gas stations and about 11 stores. They also robbed everybody in the place. Their fun lasted till July 12 when Walter's pistol aimed one of the victims. Their total take was about $15 000.

The only thing I can't get is why some modeling pretty guy would do that? Models on show such as Hugo Boss get not $15 000 of course but they get aroun $300-800 and sometimes more for show which means you can get even more than $15 000 if you do many shows. Was it just a play for fun or was it a real crime to get money for something? I think that we will never get it though there are talks that it was a cruel crime because Walters is not that moral pretty as he looks like, he is in a relationship with a woman who is elder tham him, a woman who worked as a teacher before their relations became public.

This guy is just 20 years old and he could do a good career in model business while for now he'll be just another prisoner.

Ugh, that's a shame. He's gonna be real popular in prison...

that's what I thought and then I thought that it's great that robbers can't be models after..

You know starting models never get lots of money but it all goes step by step and he had all his chances..
considering stealing not many models do that because usually when they ask designer will give a dress or something else to them (except for some items, for ex Birkin bag, but no one would steal it because on the runway they put half-made to prevent stealing).

What a waste. But I wouldn't feel sorry for him 'cause what he did just pretty stupid. : /

i like laughed so hard when i heard this. because a) it's so ridiculous and b) he has so much ahead of him in the business, so this was just a stupid move on his part.
Jul. 21st, 2009 07:49 am (UTC)
totally agree, but it seems that he was thinking he could ever be caught
Jul. 18th, 2009 02:14 pm (UTC)
I dunno. He was probably trying to bring back the glam of crime from the 1920s and whatnots. *shrug*
Jul. 21st, 2009 07:49 am (UTC)
I'm not sure about that, very extreme way to bring 1920s back

Models really don't make that much, other than the absolute top ones who are in many major advertising campaigns, so...he may have needed the money. And male models don't make as much as female models, who still don't make much.

But, yeah, it's pretty sad. If he was desperate for money, he would have been much better off getting a different job...

Evene when a models gets $300 for runway it's ok, you just have to do not one in a week. So ha could try hard in the sphere of modeling not robbering..

Wow! That's crazy!

yeap!Guy didn't know where he was going by doing all those things
Jul. 18th, 2009 08:10 pm (UTC)
many he's got that "i'm bored of being privileged complex", sort of like how private school rich kids would go around robbing news stands cause "they're bored".

the relationship part i dunno, haha.
Jul. 21st, 2009 07:53 am (UTC)
he was not that privileged to be bored I think

Hi La_mode_tribune,
I have recently befriended your journal after getting a link to it in a comment in my own fashion journal, because it looked very interesting and along similar lines to my own, and you are very welcome to befriend me too - come and have a good look ...

As for this model committing this crime, whatever he earned as a male model, it will never be as much as he could get from robbery on this scale - but at least it would be an honest day's pay for an honest day's work - stupid, stupid boy...
It may well be a bored rich kid's way of getting kicks though, but we'll never really know, I don't suppose !!

"I think that we will never get it though there are talks that it was a cruel crime because Walters is not that moral pretty as he looks like, he is in a relationship with a woman who is elder tham him, a woman who worked as a teacher before their relations became public."

I'm not sure why being in a relationship with an older woman is morally wrong, or was she his actual teacher? My own husband is eight years younger than me, and we aren't aware of breaking any moral code...

Hello! Thanx, now we're friends in lj :) And I liked your journal :)

Of course, but they've got smth around 15 000 from all their robberies, so theoretically it is 50 runways he had to make.. not an easy task for a model still possible if you have a will..

I'm not sure at all about relationship but as all papers say it's something named "social characteristic" in the court, and this woman was a teacher so it makes it worse, not rof me, but for his trial..

What does being in a relationship with an older woman have to do with his morals?
Jul. 21st, 2009 07:59 am (UTC)
I don't know and I don't care but I think that the court would, some kind of standards that make situation even worse for him..

Ah, that makes sense. (Well, not really but I can imagine it happening.)
